Our Story
Founded by Dr. Christopher
Our founder, Dr. John R. Christopher, had great success helping people overcome health issues naturally.
He was a master teacher who taught people to take care of themselves rather than simply treating ailments. He spoke of having an herbalist in every home and a master herbalist in every community and established the School of Natural Healing in 1953 to make that goal a reality.

Developed for Home Study
In 1979, Dr. Christopher’s son, David, developed a home study course as a continuation of Dr. Christopher’s seminars at the School of Natural Healing.
Through home study spread Dr. Christopher’s methods and principles to people around the world. Our Master Herbalist Program grew to include 22 levels of instruction, all based on Dr. Christopher's original teachings.
We still hold in-person seminars for our graduating master herbalist students as a nod to our heritage, and to personally know the master herbalists that represent Dr. Christopher and his school in their communities.
